Attapeu flood survivor's message to South Korea
Vongsakda, a 39-year-old Attapeu flood survivor sent a message to South Korean construction company SK E&C on behalf of his flood-hit Hinlat village, Sanamxay District, Attapeu Province, Lao PDR. The South Korean-built Xe Pian Xe namnoy hydropower dam in Attapeu Province collapsed on July 23 and caused severe flood in riverside settlements in Southern part of Laos and neighboring Cambodia. As of July 28, Vongsakda's 11-year-old daughter Dawan, 6-year-old son Pannin, and 33-year-old wife Phola were still missing in the floods.
