Seulki Lee is a South Korean independent backpacking journalist focusing on social and political developments in Asia since 2011.
Throughout her independent reporting career, she has filed original stories from Indonesia, West Papua, Malaysia, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Laos, Vietnam, South Korea, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Indian-administered Kashmir and India's Northeastern region to mainstream East Asian media houses.
Formerly a correspondent for Indonesia's biggest news weekly Tempo, South Korean news weekly Hankyoreh21, and Nepal's English news weekly Nepali Times, her work has been a rare independent source of local viewpoints and ground trends of Southeast and South Asia's current affairs.

She holds a bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature at Chonnam National University, South Korea.
